wow! it has been a while since i last wrote a blog i apologise!!! so… hello to all and thank you for all your messages of goodwill whilst i have been away!

where to start??? well i’ll share a few pictures which were destined for you earlier on when the sun was shining and our harvest was bountiful! Here are the potatoes from the outdoor raised beds! we have still go lots stored away to keep us going throuugh these winter months!

the pumpkin and squash harvest… such fun to grow and harvest… and of course eat!

and a little ray of sunshine for your drizzly, cold day… a teddy bear sunflower

well as this time of year is spent on maintanence, cleaning, building and painting i thought i would take this opportunity to introduce you to some new arrivals. Delilah, our Saddleback went into labour at 9.30pm

and the follwing morning she proudly introduced these little cuties…

Meanwhile, Blossom our Berkshire, was next door feeling very left out decided she would like some adoration so at 7.30am she decided to also go into labour and produced these gorgeous little piglets…

These have all been weaned and are now full of energy and have very cheeky personalities!

I cannot wait to get back out into the garden to actually start sowing seeds!!! so a little late perhaps but maybe my new years resolution should be to take more pictures and of course…. share them with you!! xx

OMG - your spuds & squashes are amazing! I bet it was SO satisfying harvesting that lot and seeing the fruits of all your labours! And talking of labour, how amazing both sows gave birth (Farrowed? Is that the word?) within a few hours of oneanother! I 'spose it's too much to hope that the little piggies will be kept as pets?!

Hi from me as well, love your pictures, my Father was a pig farmer, spent more time with his pigs than he did with our Mother (so she says) when I was being born he was nowhere to be seen he was with one of his favourite sows (she was farrowing at the same time) lol

thanks everyone so nice to hear from you all again and a big hello to all everyone i haven't met yet i will look forward to getting to know you!!! we try to sell the piglets to people we know for their own smallholdings and what we don't sell we keep... as you can probably tell they all have names and become part of our extended family! as for my husband spending more time with the animals than me so true i figured if i can't beat him i should join him! right im off to catch up on what i've missed! xx

Hello Ickle – Pleased to meet you. I joined GOY in November. Thank you for providing the story to go with the 3 little pig photos. I found them very interesting. You might notice from my avatar that I wear sheep’s clothing. This may give you a clue why I like your pigs. Now I can see a house made of blocks. Have the piglets moved out yet and what are their houses made of? If I don't find any pigs in wood or straw houses soon I may have to go vegetarian. I see you grow a variety of potatos. Those red one look the best - what variety are those and do you have any growing tips for a novice?
