About me

Hi, I am a father of 2 young kids, and love gardening - especially with children in mind. Last year I involved my son's school class in a project to turn our garden into the Land of Oz from "The Wizard of Oz". Along the way, we learned about plants and planting, weather (tornados, rainbows, etc), and too many other topics to mention here, and realised that the story has a bit of a green theme. We have made our own compost, recycled as much as poss, grown our own edibles, etc. In my own opinion, there really is no place like home when
it comes down to learning about, and improving, the environment! We decided to continue the Oz theme in 2008 and choose flower and veg varieties whose names link to the story!
