About me

Hi! Welcome to my garden! We moved here in 2003. I am a single mother of 2 grown up daughters and a foster child, of whom I am in the process of adopting. The garden is 250feet long, a quarter of it, at the bottom is 90 feet wide. I have been gardening since I was 10 yrs old. I have always had a patch of garden to mess about in. I adore gardening, it is a place where I can be myself, totally alone with the earth, plants and wild animals, oh and including the weeds! When I was married, I was torn between my husband or the garden, he was very insecure anyway, therefore I let him go, that was 8 yrs ago, after 16 years of marriage. No regrets. I am now married to my garden, plants and fostering children and offering daycare. When we moved here, the garden was shockingly full of rubbish, giant weeds, grass from one end to the other, all that was in it, was 1 cherry tree, 1 apple tree, the rest is mine. 7 years on, I now have what I have, all done by me, very satisfying. As much as I like gardening, the idea has never been to be a slave to it, it was to be enjoyed, once I have got it the way I wanted it. The garden is devided into different rooms, The Secret Garden, The Pond Garden, The Cherry Tree Garden, The Domestic Garden and the Gravel Garden, each has it's own part to play. When I step into my garden, I get a glimpse of paradise. I have got what to me is the perfect garden, which I have created with my own hands. There is nothing else in life that can be more awesome than that! Happy gardening!
