Yes, Hywel - all of them by the end of winter! :-))

On blog - 'Berry' nice!

There are - one of the people in the village has a spinney where he grows all kinds of wonderful shrubs and trees. It's amazing walking through there at this time of year! (there's a public footpath through it!)

Frank, you are right - some years are 'good' holly years, some - well, I'd be lucky to find any!

On blog - 'Berry' nice!

Thanks, Pip - I have a 'thing' about them, too, as well as Geraniums and Clematis! LOL.

I don't exactly know in miles, Bluespruce, but it takes me 1hr 20 mins to the Nursery outside Exeter....we do have the M5 junction about 10 miles from here, so easy after that.

The answer to that is - buy one for her as a gift! ;-)

Why wouldn't they? Skimmias aren't tender, after all!

Well done, Dawn - I have added your helpful advice to my 'reminders' for July. Thanks! :-)

Haha - I might try it, then! :-D

Hmmm...some people wouldn't even 'get' that, Indy!!! LOL. Glad you liked the blog, though. :-)

Nariz - I'd better get the shoehorn out again! I had considered growing some of the more decorative veggies between the flowers - but space! That's the difficulty!

Hywel - I can do without a second 'Ice Age' winter, thanks - so please keep your icebergs YOUR side of the Bristol Channel! ;-)

On blog - Parsnips

Thanks, Docbob! :-)

I reckon that should be ideal! Space for more there? ;-)

Errrr....yes. :-((

I still want a Pseudowintera colorata...............................

Yes - I think that seems to be true, for butterflies, anyway!

Poor thing - I cut it back at the side to allow some light to get to my new Akebia quinata 'Cream form' - YAY!!

Now the front of it will get pruned, as well!

And you - so am I!! :-))

Worth a try, though! Fingers crossed.

Good. I'm not sure when they have to be planted - but the packet will say.

You're welcome. I have pink ones and a white as well. I think I prefer the purples, though.

Not a word I use, but it does express what I feel, yes! lol.

Thanks, Bamboo. Did you find time to look at the earlier blogs, by the way??
