Strangely, just a few miles down the coast from Louise, it was colder here by a couple of degrees.

It is, Grindle! :-))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

I bought that as a plant, if you remember - I do hope it returns next year, Toto! I don't yet know how hardy it is.

There weren't many left when I went, Gee - but I'm glad I got this one - it's a little different, isn't it!

I wonder how many members of GOY got a pot??

Nope - he only agreed to island no.1 if it was at the far end of the lawn! He also thinks that I've got enough beds to care for...:-((

I might try again though........................................................

Woof! Woof!! :-))))))))))

I got mine last week - so you might find one THIS year! I wish I'd bought two, now. :-((

I agree with him to a certain extent - another island would spoil the open view across the lawn from the Garden room. SIGH - I just enjoyed making my island, though! I'd love to create another one!

OK.

The stone circle is in full sun - and the Acer just hated it! Our tree surgeon was very helpful about where to plant it.

That was a great freeby, wasn't it!

I know what my husband would say, though - and it wouldn't be very positive! Shame.....:-((

Yes - I thought I'd put the pot on the step outside to say 'welcome inside'!! :-))

Yes, it does - but the reason it's a bit lop-sided is that it lost a branch when it was in the pot! :-((

I am ashamed to say that I failed History at 'O' level, Bamboo.Who wanted to know about 19th C laws and the Industrail Revolution? Not me!

It was much later that I got interested. Now with our historic home, I find it fascinating!

On question - Old Yew Tree trouble.

Nope. You are a true plantaholic, just like me! haha.

Anyway, if you want to do a GC/Nursery crawl (like a pub-crawl, only enjoyable), count me in!!

Dare you - well, on second thoughts, we don't want you arrested, so maybe not!!

Not with your mail-order habits, it won't! LOL.

Errr....in the front garden, Frank? Sounds different, anyway! :-))

Well - you can tell I was a teacher in my past life, can't you, Cliffo. :-)

AG magazine says Cotoneaster lacteus can be trained - take a look at that one.
