Grows on You Cookies

We set and make use of the following cookies for the proper functioning of the website.

auth_token - this cookie stores data that is needed to log you in to the website when you use the remember-me option

_session_id - this cookie is a session cookie and let's us remember you when you move from page to page on the website. Without it we would treat you as a new visitor each and every time you load a page. Your browser will normally delete this type of cookie when you close it

guest_auth - this cookie is used to store a question that you have asked before you have signed in to your account or, if you are new, before you have joined

dismissed_notices - this stops us annoying you by showing you website announcements (the ones that appear as a yellow bar at the top of a page) over and over again even after you have dismissed them

Other Third Party Cookies - if you click on a 'Visit Store' link in the garden centre section of Grows on You you will get taken to that retailer's website. During the transfer from our website to theirs a cookie may be set so that they know you have come from Grows on You, this is done so they can pay us a small commission if you buy something form their website. We do not pass on any personal information when we redirect you to a retailer and we make it clear that you are leaving Grows on You.


Terms of Use

Images

If you have it in the first place, you maintain the copyright to any images you upload to Grows on You. Forever.

By storing images on our site you grant us a free license to reproduce them, anytime, anywhere, in any format.

When you remove your images from Grows on You, you are cancelling the license and we will no longer use your photos.

Comments

The comments we can keep and use after you leave, although you maintain copyright. They would not have come about without the community and we think they really belong to all our members.

Conduct

This is a community website so please be respectful of others. We expect you to read and follow the Community Guidelines but also to use your common sense.

Because you control Grows on You, we can't guarantee you won't occasionally find things you find offensive, but please let us know if you do. As we work to improve Grows on You, we reserve the right to change this guidance on conduct.

Individuals are responsible for what is published using their Grows on You account. We reserve the right to remove content, without notice, that we or our members do not consider appropriate for a gardening community.

Lost data

We cannot be held responsible for anything lost or removed from the website.
