No - they only grow to about 15 - 18".

Oh Andrew - I wish I could suggest something to help! I read a magazine article and you are doing all the right things - I just don't understand.

I bought two L.m. 'Variegata' at Malvern - little ones, so they're not in the soil yet. Another one off the wish-list!

They really are good plants - as long as you keep dead-heading them.

They do need warmth...so be careful!

From the packet, there were these mauve ones, and the white with a mauve centre. Equally attractive!

Yes.....some...obviously not enough, though!. I might have to cut the Photinia back a bit more.

Thanks. :-))

Yes. This plant is three years old. I bought it - then I grew a whole lot from seed....so much cheaper...:-))

I have two windowsills completely full of them - no space left! LOL.

I started off with one....................................................as you do!

They are REALLY easy to grow from seed, Sandra!

I do hope so - it's nice to be able to help them to survive!

On blog - 'Berry' nice!

It did flower in the spring - but I think it's been too shaded by taller plants through the summer. I've cleared them now - so maybe it'll produce some flowers later.

I have exactly this one! I'll take a careful look at it ASAP. It didn't go red last year either, I seem to remember. Very disappointing. :-(( It's facing west, but slightly shaded.

I like it! It looks great, especially with its companions., :-)).

Glad to hear it, Toto! My white ones and 'Eleanor Young' are still going strong, as well. I forgot to take a photo...

I like Skimmias - they seem OK in my neutral soil....so far!

There are only a few left, Toto - and maybe a couple of tatty ones on the white version!

Great photo again - what a photographer you are! :-))
