The Golden Years are smilin on me!!

Well my dear GOY friends it would seem that pollyanna has met Mr. Wonderful! I think it was the Tatoos that did it! lol!

Yes the so called Golden Years have a tarnished reputation! However I’m here to tell you that God is good… the Gods are smiling on me…. I am blessed…. I am lucky…. the angels’ are smiling… lady luck is smiling… its my time….ALL of the above! WhooHoo!

As many of you know I have been adjusting to being an apartment dweller with balcony container gardening, doing quite well but lamenting over the lack of a southern exposure, well guess what, I am going to be on 2 acres with all kinds of plants..grapes..kiwi…apple..pear.. pond with Koi…and, and, and!

It all started with Bamboo! A free pot of Bamboo! He didn’t waste any time figuring out what would tickle my leaves, sway my palms, fertilize my soil! lol! Bruce just turned 72 and I’m 69. He is twice widowed and me once. Is this a hoot or what! He gardens, he cooks, has a gentle caring spirit and if that were all it would be enough!

I am a little behind on GOY….. hmmmm.. wonder why?! Behind but not gone! Lots of fun with future pics. etc. to look forward to and much more life. I’m excited!

Gloria

I thought you'd gone quiet.
Glad it was for good reasons that we hadn't heard from you.
Will Lucy go with you to the two acres? :o)

Well I'm sad to say I returned Lucy to the bird store a little over a week ago I just didn't have the time for the maintenance and attention to her. She was nicely tamed and the pet store will find a good home for her.

Thanks Amy. His place is pretty wild looking right now but that is what "help mate" means. I can hardly wait to work together on it all. I will try to get some pics this weekend so I will have before and afters. He has a lot of trees and what not, it's a lot to take care of and I'm looking forward to finding out what all is there and taking stock. Needs TLC and I'm ready willing and able!

Congratulations to you both Polloyannaever! It does everyone's heart good to know it's never too late! (Keep that in mind catfinch :) I was divorced, my husband (15 years my senior) was widowed and we "happened along each other" 11 years ago and have been happily married 10 years next month. My wish for you is to be as happy for many years ahead. Oh yes...and have fun gardening up a storm!

16 Oct, 2008

With so much doom and gloom in the news these days find stories such as these really up lifting. Think it has to do with ones heart and mind no matter the age.

When your heart has healed Catfinch your mind will follow
sure there are signals out there for you your mind wont accept just yet . Thanks for sharing these lovely to hear.

Thank you, thank you, thank you all my lovely goy friends! You all are becoming so special to me! What a very special group of people from all over the world! Harli, I will be living a little outside of Concrete which is about 35 miles from Bellingham where I am now. So much to share with pics. etc. Bruce loves railroads and has been working on an outdoor one which he had up and running but more work needed. My gosh so many interesting things ahead! Lots to share gardening! Ooo! Ooo! Ooh! Am I excited! Am I happy! Do I understand this happening? Noo!
Hey David, lets test your movies now.. William Holden, Jennifer Jones- "Love Is A Many Splendored Thing" from the 50's. In one scene she is so happy and things are going so well,( the Chinese when they had a good rice crop would want to fool the Gods into not noticing how well things were) and they would cry, "Bad Rice, Bad Rice!" I feel a little like that!! Corny huh?!

Catfinch, everyone is unique and special and I like to think of it that each of us has our own road map, life map if you will. I truly believe that God's (or your preferred higher power) timing is perfect and so it will be and is for you!

A reason to be living
The golden crown that makes a man a king"
