Well! Now I know - I shall have to visit there one day. Are the gardens open frequently? I go to a Nursery near Exeter sometimes, so I could 'drop in' if they are!

Nice to see your colourful garden up there in Scotland! Thanks for letting us in. :-))

Ha! Good! But let's hope we get more later on, though - they do brighten the garden up in the middle of winter, don't they!
I'm waiting for my Prunus subhirtella autumnalis to begin to flower - the one up the lane (mature) has a few flowers out. That is an utter joy when it gets its blossom! :-))
On photo - Winter Jasmine already!
That's OK - how were you to know??

Might have been Taylor's, I think....does that sound right?

I didn't do Biology at school - maybe that's why this is new to me??

No - everything else in that bed is doing what it should! I can't understand it at all, Tt. It's against a wall, facing west, but there's another one also facing west - in the warmest part of the garden - no flowers! The others are facing east, I think.

I didn't get any - I asked Hywel if the one I have is the same as his - and it is!
Work that out, Gilli! LOL.

Yes, I trim the long shoots back after they've flowered. It just keeps them tidy - and I tie the rest to the trellis or wires, too.
The reason I have four is that when we had the Garden room built, the trellis with the Jasmine on had to come down - so we planted the displaced plants in a temporary bed made of lumps of wood and compost. I found that the one plant had rooted itself, so I split off the babies, and there you are!

They don't seem to take long to establish, do they? I was amazed at the ones in with the Heucheras - just a few weeks, and they'd filled the containers!

Chilly here, as well! The sun was out for a while, but it's clouded over now. :-(
On blog - Ready for next year!
When the trough has 'filled out' a bit, I'll show you the whole thing. :-))

If you got one now, User, you'd get flowers during THIS winter! Honestly! I really don't know why this one has decided to flower in October - it's normally weeks later.

Yes!! That really is such a good description, User! Thanks...:-))

How can you say that, Dee? I'm sure there will be interesting shapes and silhouettes there! :-))

Let's hope they're all OK during the winter - so they do well NEXT year, too!
That's a lovely one, Dee. :-)
On photo - Daliah, sorry lost the Label..
You'll have to take more photos from exactly the same point - at different times of the year, as well as when you change things. :-))

I love these - and this is a vivid colour! I've just taken a look at 'Hadspen Purple' and there's new growth at the base - that was new this year, too!
