Where are you going ?

9 Oct, 2009

WOW!! It's stunning daisydee :))

9 Oct, 2009

Nowhere Hywel, im digging a huge Mockorange out which will give me loads more room for new plants..Which ive already bought for less than half price yoohoo...

Thanks a lot Crazydi..

9 Oct, 2009

Oohh that sounds exciting :)
Do you have to wrap up a lot of your plants for the winter Daisydee, or do they survive unprotected?

9 Oct, 2009

Some go in the greenhouse Crazydi, 2Treeferns, A few Cannas and im putting my Ensete Banana in the bedroom :) I fleece about 3 palms and the rest are Perrenials or annuals, oh just remembered i have 4 Daliah's to lift...Not that bad really, there's loads of tropicals i would love but i have to get real, They just wouldnt survive up here :)

9 Oct, 2009

Lol...I'm laughing about the Ensete Banana going in your bedroom :)
You do very well though to care for such tender plants, especially where you are. I'll struggle to find room in my greenhouse for one treefern and a banana, lol. But I do have a colcasia in my dining room, and umpteen geraniums on my bedroom windowsill, lol :)

9 Oct, 2009

Colcasia Crazydi, Top of my wishlist plant. Which one do you have, i know some are more tender than others...

11 Oct, 2009

Just prepared a salad for lunch and roast chicken tonight. Don't see my sister often as she lives in Suffolk on the Norfolk border. She married a farmer but he is retired now and they moved to a bungalow but have a large garden and grow lots of vegetables.

11 Oct, 2009

sounds lovely, do you sometimes go to them lindak, love the countryside dont you, so peacefull

11 Oct, 2009

Yes Gerry and I visit about once a year. SUffolk is rolling hillsides and has a different sort of beauty than Derbyshire.

12 Oct, 2009

Hi DD - how clever to finder the perfect frame for your pic!! LOL - I'm hoping to straw up my tree ferns this week as frost is forcast - the largest one was moved yesterday with the help of a friend - (I still can't use my bionic arm properly!) just hope it will be OK next year (the tree fern that is)

13 Oct, 2009

Thanks for the reminder Mzgreenfing about the tree fern I must place mine somewhere safe efor the winter.

14 Oct, 2009

Ooh...this is a view to die for Daisy.......I love all the exotics there and the pebbles....looks like a really Hot garden....:o)

14 Oct, 2009

I think all your photos are lovely. You have a very beautiful garden. Clarice looks just like my Sugar. I hope to see more when I have become more familiar with how the site works. As I have only just joined.

15 Oct, 2009

Very nice, like that.

15 Oct, 2009

What a good picture frame!! Not seen those sort in the shops!!!!

15 Oct, 2009

You'll have to take more photos from exactly the same point - at different times of the year, as well as when you change things. :-))

18 Oct, 2009

Brilliant idea Spritz, ill do that, Although the winter pic wont be good,But Yes ill Deffinatley do that ..Thanks..

18 Oct, 2009

How can you say that, Dee? I'm sure there will be interesting shapes and silhouettes there! :-))

18 Oct, 2009

Youngdaisydee:

Why are you going to be saying "bye" to your
view?

23 Oct, 2009

ill have to be creative with my Camera Spritz :)

Because of the weather Delonix :( But its a lovely sunny day today and that view is still there...

23 Oct, 2009

Youngdaisydee:

Sorry, sometimes I forget not every climate is
not like here in the subtropics.

Do you have to bring all those plants indoor?

24 Oct, 2009

Wonderful view Ydd, hard to think you could improve on it, but Digging out a mock orange will give loads of space. I'm getting rid of mine soon they're pretty flowers but that's about it. something much more garden worthy can go there:-)

21 Nov, 2009

So you know what i mean Bornagain, Your right not a wow plant at all, Im not looking forward to gettn the roots out, ill have to do it febuary (or hub can) so he doesen't stand on my Calla :)
There mostly hardy Delonix, lifted the Daliahs, Canna still flowering but ill lift it soon and fleece over a couple, Not too bad really considering I live way up in the Northeast..
Thanks everyone for your Lovely comments..

21 Nov, 2009

Youngdaisydee:

It sounds like you still get a partial view of your plants
even in winter? Except for the plants that get lifted
over winter.

22 Nov, 2009

Amazing view you have there Dee. Can't wait to see it next year. Hard to believe it could look any better than it does here, but if anyone can do it , you can !
