He won't shut up about me saying I'd like to make another island bed in the lawn, Marie. HELP!!
He'll be singing that Harry Belafonte song next... or is that too long ago for you to know? I hope Ian's too young to know it, as well! LOL.

Oh YUK!! Our rain might well be back - so I'd better go - reluctantly!
On blog - 'Berry' nice!
My Cymbidiums were great the first and second year but last year - one stem only out of four plants - they've been outside as recommended all summer, and now they're in - I have to be patient. I don't know if shock treatment would work - they prefer it cooler anyway! So I guess not, really.
Aren't they a pain! I felt like chucking them out last year after chatting to them, feeding them, oh, everything. :-((

Nope. Not that one, anyway - nor 'Raindrops keep falling on my head' either! lol.
How about 'Here comes the sun'?? 'cos it's gone again!

Oh dear. That's not so good - I sympathise. You live in a lovely County, though, don't you?

I didn't though. Nasty person! I was typing! It's his turn later. Soon. When I take him out....:-))

Thanks, Doreen. I think there's a photo right at the very beginning of my thousands of pics that shows the r-hand steps!

I should imagine that the 'almost' is the right word Alz.
It has stopped raining here - I'm waiting a while to let things dry out a bit before we venture out, though.

I told my son when he announced the news that I was far too young to be a grandmother, Docbob!

Oh, we will, have no doubts about that, Elleme....;-)
On question - Which Plant For Best Berries ?
Oooohhh.....I only wrote a blog yesterday! I'll do one errr....soon. ;-)
On blog - To cheer me up on a miserable day!
Yesssss!! 'Brenda's' fame is spreading! Betcha it works! Just don't forget to bring them back, will you? lol.
Sid, Alz is spot on - give them a chance first. It's the recalcitrant ones that need the shock! Don't stop feeding them, as long as it's the 'powder' stuff in a pot that you've got.
For my Cymbidiums, I have two sorts of food - one for when they're NOT in flower, and one for when they are!
On photo - My Phalaenopsis Orchids
Why not? It's not me saying it's hardy - I read it up on the net and in my RHS book, as well as the label on the pot! Could be worth looking for...I hope you come across it. :-))

Yes, thanks. Can't get out - it's POURING!! We have the weekly shop to do so H. will have to wait until this afternoon. It isn't a lot of fun walking across wet and muddy fields in this!

No...too far for a day trip, I think. Like the Eden Project, too. We'd have to find someone to look after Henry overnight. I went to Bodnant many years ago - I seem to remember standing on some steps and looking at a gear view of hills...and being disappointed that I'd missed the Laburnum arch.
Kent has a lot of gardens within easy distance - Sissinghurst, Nymans, Wakehurst, Great Dixter, Scotney Castle, oh, lots! We were often out in one when we lived down there.

Yes, he did. :-))
He just came in and played with his new ball for a few minutes! It was a not-too-subtle hint that I should play as well. LOL.

Oh Ian - you are awful - but I like you! (Remember Dick Emery?)
On blog - 'Berry' nice!
Oh yes, definitely! My Coprosmas are all in pots and they'll be in the greenhouse for the winter. I have two Lophomyrtus, and they'll be fleeced, just to be sure. I might fleece the new Correa, but I'll wait for a severe frost warning first.

Hmmmm....;-)

Oh NO!!! Please, NO!!
