I reckon it is! Watch out - you'll be next, Ian! ;-)

Good, isn't it! You can blame Hywel for this - he's got it! :-)

Have you got A. nervosa ' Westland', too, Dee? That comes into its own in colder weather - the leaves get a reddish stripe. :-))

Thanks....:-))

Not as high, but still dangerous. There's a special team to rescue stranded people, though. I do hope Toto is OK!!

Thanks - he's FIVE!! I can't believe it. Where did five years go?

They are unusual! :-)

I offered - in case it was important, with him walking up there! It's a bleak place, and the clouds can descend without warning - so you can easily get lost. People have to be rescued off the moors!

Do you know - I have been astonished at Henry's intelligence with getting enormous sticks through gates or stiles! He refuses to leave them, and he has learned (no help!) to turn the stick round and pull it after himself with the end!

How about that? :-)) So Labs are very intelligent - especially at problem solving...true, Alz?

I'm afraid he chases cats.....sorry.....

On blog - Meant to be?

I am sooooo embarrassed - I was watching our local forecasts for Toto, and he's gone off before I could tell him the latest! :-(( Oh well - He'll soon find out!

Well, Kelway's used to be 'THE' name for Paeonies, and also Irises, which they breed and display at Chelsea. So I think they probably will. Marie.

WHERE are MINE???????????

Ah well - we all learn by mistakes, don't we! I shall fleece 'everything' if we get really hard frosts again! I was upset last year - too many losses. Boo hoo!

Hallo - where have you been? Thanks for the lovely comment! :-))

On blog - 'Berry' nice!

The Somerset Levels is an huge area criss-crossed with natural water channels called 'rhynes'. You wouldn't want to walk there in the dark! It frequently floods - then you see sheets of water, from the raised roads.

In the time of the Civil War, the poor fleeing (local) soldiers tried to escape across the levels - because they knew the routes - but they were still rounded up and killed off, eventually. Remember Judge Jefferies and his 'Bloody Assizes'? He showed no mercy.

Quick History lesson there!

I shall say 'Thanks' for Henry, as he hasn't learned to type yet, Heron! LOL. He also said that he likes ANY sticks, even if they're 6' long!!

On blog - Meant to be?

Yes, I agree! Their Show stands are always fabulous.... :-)

Welcome from me, as well! Until you have your own garden, you can share all the GOY ones! LOL.

I've sent you a Private Mesage (PM) - look in your inbox!

On blog - Hello!

They are beautiful - we have Kelways Nursery not too far away - we went to 'Paeony Valley' to admire them there. There's an old railway line across the back - the trains used to slow down for people to take a look!

Sadly, the Valley got flooded some years ago, and they're only just building their collection back up.

Now how come that only a few miles up the coast Louise has ladybirds, and I haven't?? I want some. too! Moan, moan. :-((
