I like the formatting you used in your blog, Gee! You're getting all techie!

I shall be interested in seeing what you do with your tree seeds, too.

On blog - *I CON-SEED.....*

I should find out when and where they flock on the levels. It can't be too far from us!

Very crafty...;-)

He did, thanks, Sbg! :-))

On blog - Meant to be?

I've noticed a few labels lately that say e.g. 'Needs 5 hours of sun' or suchlike comments. I thought that was much more useful!

Thanks for the mention - black binbags DO work, as long as you punch holes in them, as I showed in the blog. I did mention the possibility of building an enclosure, too.

On question - Autumn Leaves

I don't think it's a Fraxinus excelsior - the leaves on our trees are not serrated like these.

I'd agree with Fractal.

A nice man - my daughter's father-in-law!

On photo - Fuchsia 'Tom Thumb'

And me!

On blog - Meant to be?

Your decision? Hahaha. Then, if it goes wrong - it's YOUR fault!

Glad you didn't disagree, Bamboo! ;-))

OK. :-))

Sadly, Sbg - not a fun-time at Beth Chatto's at all! It was on the way to visiting my son, and I was allowed just a few minutes to gather up the plants on my list - so no garden-visiting, or Nursery-browsing. :-((

On photo - my new babies

Errrr....I only bought them last week! In pots, in flower! Very cheaty. Pretty, though. :-))

On photo - Sternbergia lutea

Are you back, Sbg? Did you enjoy your trip?

My new ones all have leaves, as well.

LOL. No wonder he gets such good close-ups of spiders - from INSIDE the lens! .....heehee

Have you been to Beth Chatto's garden, Fractal? I hope the Sternbergias I got there clump up as well as these!

Hi Bidget - the blue ones are Nigella damascena - 'Love-in-the-Mist'. The purply ones are Geranium sanguineum striatum.

Nigella is an annual - but once it's established in your garden, it seeds itself. You can buy packets of seed - I recommend Nigella 'Miss Jekyll', this pale blue one, as it germinates well.

To start it off in your gravel, wait until the spring, then sprinkle the seed all over the area - sprinkle some water over them and they will grow! You don't need to cover the seeds with compost.

The seedlings look like tiny frilly pale green plants when they start to emerge..

The geraniums seed themselves as well - but they started as little plants. You can buy them quite cheaply. Get small ones, and they'll soon spread.

Good luck! Please do ask or PM me if you need any more info.

Toto's page? Yes - I noticed! LOL.
