Found all its leaves today :o)

An unusual Fritillaria & very pretty, too! :-)) Not seen one like that one before.

I had this last year, must go looking for it. It is a lovely plant for quite deep shade.

I have lots too, so cheerful aren't they?

With a systemic insecticide? How long does that last? I usually pick them off and squash them.

I spray as soon as we see them, I am afraid, it certainly works!

Yes Dd, stopped growing lilies out doors for that reason ,so the lily beetles attack my Snakes Head Fritillaries instead. Wouldn't want them destroying more unusual ones, will just enjoy other peoples.

The lily beetles loved this when we grew it, they are devils for Fritillarias

A new one to me, but a pretty one...

Prettily understated! In the garden? No lily beetles yet?

Like this one, it looks new to me;0)

It looks as if it is very much at home in its new spot! It is very sweet.

I have a baby of this sent to me by a lovely GOY member last autumn, its gorgeous :-)

I planted a lovely white one, nowhere to be seen.....

We'll all soon be busy little bees working in the garden...LOL

That's good then Spritz. They certainly flower for a long time. The bees certainly like them.

Lovely combination of colour. The Pulmonaria are real do gooders and we had quite a few clumps of it down the road but I found the leaves had a hairy surface and had to wear gloves when cutting back.

Love them I have little groups popping up all over ;0)

It's really lovely, Spritz! I've had to add it to my favourites! Nice to see you have a few more scapes in the background as well! :-))

It was like that at work - three re-organisations and then everybody was back where they started!

I liked this enough to look it up, and it turns out this was once Iris tuberosa. After some study by Jodrell labs at Kew, it has been put back in the Iris group and the Hermodactylus grouping dropped.

Very pretty colour combination Dottydaisy - what is the blue flower is it forget me not ?

Ah Dd, the strap-like leaves are not little, must be 18" !

So beautiful.....

Lucky you......I love all types of Iris...;-)
