Thanks for the welcome back - you are lovely people! I will try to come on more often.

I'm so glad you enjoyed my blog. 10/10 for Wildrose. You were paying attention at school, obviously! LOL.

Sorry about your foot, though - get well soon. x

Thanks, everyone - it was such a c-c-c-cold morning I tried to cheer myself up - and you, too! :-)))

Dawn, the yellow is Alyssum saxatilis. I think 'they' have changed its name, but not sure what we're supposed to call it now. :/

Grrrrrrr!!!!!

No, I'm afraid not, Sbg. I shall still be looking out for them in 2016, though! The flowering period is amazingly long. :-)

It has been even more colourful this year, but so have field maples and so on.

This one is not a 'flopper' - it's trainable. Mine is on wires and is very well behaved! I know all about lawnmowers and OHs, Sbg! :-(((

Thanks! :-)))

It isn't hardy, sadly. :-( Still worth growing - it's flowering its socks off.

Why not?

Near the front gate, on the right as you walk down the path.

Siris, the house was flooded three years ago - the stream level rose by 6' in one day and we were utterly helpless - water came up through the floor as well as over the thresholds. We lived upstairs for weeks and weeks. I dread anything like that ever happening again - but we do gave defences in place now. I'm sure I wrote a blog about it...

Sadly, all the leaves have dropped now...

Siris, the white 'flowers' are actually seed heads. I'm trying to think of the name of the plants - they have yellow 'plumes' and are very similar to Ligularia. The red is Cornus. Yes, having a stream is (usually) wonderful. :-)

Feel free.

Yes - the 'ordinary' type do that here, Green finger. I frequently find seedlings in strange places! Our two weeping ash trees also drop dead branches - such a nuisance. :-/ This one is very well behaved - as well as gorgeous! I'm sure the colours are deeper than in previous year.

Some of them definitely are. :-(

On blog - A Cautionary Tale.

Yes, I agree.

Good! :-))))

Yes, but we had groups 'by arrangement' this year. Get in touch with your County Organiser - they are very helpful, and good luck. :-)
