Good its not been struck with the awful ash dieback.Wish the whopping great ash at the end of my garden was as pretty as this type - instead of seedlings coming up everywhere & dropping bits of dead branches & leaves that don't rot down well.

Yes - the 'ordinary' type do that here, Green finger. I frequently find seedlings in strange places! Our two weeping ash trees also drop dead branches - such a nuisance. :-/ This one is very well behaved - as well as gorgeous! I'm sure the colours are deeper than in previous year.

oh course but I've only seen it in the summer. the colour is glorious.

It has been even more colourful this year, but so have field maples and so on.
