Well, not like the Willow family. It's only a small tree, but keep it well away from any buildings, as tree roots spread out and if they're too close to your home they could damage the foundations.

Are they in too much sun? Are they getting enough water?

This is the supposedly 'invasive' plant I bought, Dd. We shall see...Two other members had it and it died. :-(

It is, so well spotted! Thank you. :-))

Well, it isn't in new soil, it's in a gap where I heaved out some fading Achillea. It's interesting that yours didn't survive either, Ob.

Oh dear. :-((

Too late - it's planted in the garden! I wonder if plants can read - Sbg says hers died, but it's meant to be hardy. Maybe mine will behave itself...I hope!

I wish you success, Andrew. :-))

Oh, high tech stuff, eh?

On question - please mr GOY

Why does mine only produce single flowers? You are very lucky, Helen. :-))

Mine is OK, Snoopdog - it might well be at your end. :(

On question - please mr GOY

I haven't tried, nor have I seen any, Ieuan, but there is a dwarf form (Berberis darwinii 'Compacta') so that might be successful. Welcome to GOY.

HMMMPH!!!!!!!!

Well, I like it...

Good luck! :-))

I gather that you visited Hidcote - one of my favourite gardens, Andrew. What an intriguing and very attractive shrub - a great shame it isn't available in the UK! I ask myself 'why'?

Funnily enough, I came across a mention of it in my RHS 'Garden' magazine yesterday.

Ba, I succumbed to those foxgloves (again!) as they had the raspberry coloured ones in and they are stunning, even if they only last this season. People at my open garden wanted to know about them!

They wreck the plants, don't they! I'm not sure whether the Heuchera that was in there is 'saveable'...I left it on the lawn for the birds to clear up the ants and eggs.

Yes, several, but not sure if I have that particular one. They can get lost in a border, Ba.

No, it embosses the tape.
