Why is it so wet? Can you repot it in fresh compost? If you leave it, the roots are likely to rot.

Dd, I feel really stupid, but who is JAS please? I know Joe Swift...I mean I know who HE is, lol.
What a lovely smile - you do look happy!

Yes, the 'ordinary' blue ones do, but I was told that this one doesn't, or at least, it's slower. My purple one hasn't walked yet.

I hope this one stays as it is!

On photo - Geum 'Can-can'

It's really purple, Dd. Camera doesn't like purple!

No, Sbg, absolutely no cure. Yes, Fran, it was...but WELL worth it. I am already eying up another bed that looks as though it would benefit from a make-over. ;-)

Too true. I haven't found any more yet - the weather might be helping.

Hmmm...Must add them to my list for the autumn. Where did you find them?

Thanks, Dd. I enjoy looking out of the window at it now! 100% better than the vinca. :-))

Yes, that photo is deceptive. I can't get the whole bed in, I'd need a wide angle lens. It must be about 10' long and maybe 5 - 6' in depth, more where the curve comes out.

Fran, I am not quite sure how I managed it now - sheer cussedness I think!

Have you got the pink one, Siris? The white one is taller.

Yeeuch!!!!

Thanks, Fran. I do pack the bulbs in - as you see! ;-)

Strangely, I don't suffer from slugs, but SNAILS are a different matter. I have all sizes and colours of them. :-((

It gets more sun than I had imagined, B'bill. The right hand end is mostly shady, though.

I ended up squeezing in a few more plants I found at the Powderham Castle Garden Festival...lol. Trust me!

In it I have: (deep breath!)

2 x Salvia 'Caradonna'
3 x Delphiniums (double flowered)
2 x Centaurea 'Cara Mia'
3 x Viola cornuta 'Alba'
3 x V. cornuta 'Lilacina'
V. cornuta 'Grovemount Blue'
3 x Campanula 'Iribella'
Phlox paniculata (a white one)
Ranunculus aconitifolia 'Flore Pleno'
3 x Lupin 'Gallery Blue'
2 x Polemonium 'Lambrook Mauve'
Centaurea Montana 'Amethyst in Snow'
Phlox subulata (can't remember its name)
Phlox stolonifera 'Fran's Purple'
Semiaquilegia 'Sugar Plum Fairy'
3 x Geranium 'Johnson's Blue'
2 x Aquilegia 'Virginia'
Aquilegia flabellata 'Cameo'
Clematis 'Blue Angel'

...and I think that's it....Phew!

Ah, yes, they *are* lovely - I can see the Irene in the Princess now, lol. Thanks!

I shall take a look, Dd!

The wretched things are everywhere now, aren't they.

Whatever, they are VERY clever at 'seek and find', Balcony! Grrr.... I have only found one on my lilies so far this year. (squish!)

Ah, there they are, Dd. I am not sure they have the same impact as Princess Irene, but lovely all the same. Thanks for posting the pic for me! <:zD)

P.S. Lovely planting!

You are so lucky, Rely - mine simply gave up. Welcome to GoY, by the way! :-)

Thanks - of course I will! I'm looking forward to it, as well. :-)
