I hope it won't be too long.

Yes, Shirley, the first few blooms are always pale green. It doesn't seem to depend on climate.

Ah, that's interesting, Andrew!

It 'goes' nicely with my Acer dissectum. :-)))

No, it always has a few flowers in winter! Strange.

Men, eh?

No, I got it at Otter Nurseries in Ottery St Mary (Devon). They have almost run out now, apparently. Sorry!

No probs, Sbg, I'll save plenty. :-)))

They don't bother with mine, Andrew, thank goodness. I've had two for several years with no trouble at all.

Strange there isn't much info on it, Balcony.

Yes, it is, Siris, and furry, too! I love it. :-))

I'm not sure - I'll look it up later. Would you like me to save you some seeds?

The one I bought last year has survived, which surprised me, Resi! I'm very pleased. :-)))

It's a wonderful tree, isn't it. :-))

It isn't too bad here, and 'they' are promising warmer temps...hmmm...maybe. We'll see.

And you can cut it back and get another lot of flowers! :-))

It's OK after the light frost, thank goodness.

The same one, for a different area of the garden!

There is a Lupin aphid - once the poor plant has that, there isn't much you can do. As Bamboo said, try an insecticide but sadly you may have to cut that plant back and let it regrow.

Ummm... 'Lamprocapnos spectabilis'. I will never be able to remember that, so Dicentra it will stay. ;-)

I will - thanks, Sbg. xx

I know they've changed its name, but I'm sticking to 'Dicentra'!
