The background plant sets it off a treat.

Moved my blue and purple Pacific Coast Iris last year, don't think they are going to flower for me this year, shame they are such pretty little individuals. You must re photograph when it is fully open, tomorrow in the rain!

Hi, I saw it a bit ago now but looked at it again and thought I'd send you a message, did most of my hot border last year, your garden is amazing love looking at your pictures :-))

I will see if I can persuade OH to pop it in the post.

Hi Spritz, this photo gave me the inspiration for my 'hot' border, it's amazing, thanks :-))

Well, that's something I have not been aware of. Must pay more attention!

Update - as of this morning, Otter Nurseries only had one plants left. The manager brought them back from a visit to Portugal.

I'm not surprise they have almost run out. It's a 'must have'

Beautiful bloom - our Montana is just coming into bloom- best wishes - Jane

Spritz, I have this too and was surprised to see the first bloom was green, rather than cream. Lack of warmth and sunshine perhaps? The latest flower to appear really is cream!

The slimies ate mine too. Still got some seed thankfully.

Isnt that beautiful........

Sbg - you may be right. There was one at Shepton Mallet on 8th May.

yours is much further on than mine. but it is a really good colour is it not.

cant keep this fella going either. so I will enjoy looking at yours. :o)

ooh I haven't got this one either. I have Symphandra x iran if you'd like some of that. though it is a bit of a creeper/spreader/slowly admittedly. same colour but the flowers look like they have frayed taffeta edges.

used to have it but lost it several years ago. any seeds coming my way? please pretty please.

that is lovely. have you been to a rare plant fair again?

Will have to ask Spritzhenry where she bought it.

Same as me then Sue. It's not on EBAY or Amazon either.

Andrew, I found the information on a French Nursery, in French. Could not find on a uk site.

Where did you find it - it's not listed on Plant Finder. I have just the place for this one!

Looks more like verbascum foliage, had to look it up to see if it was a biennial, yes, purpurea species, pity, but pretty.

Hmm - I'm sure the snails in Bracknell have special tastes.

Is the foliage really so silvery? Unusual.

Watch out for slugs/snails on this one Spritz. I tried it once several years ago and they ate it to the ground.

Thanks Spritz would !love some......
