nice one leigh so interesting, one thing the climber could do with a nip just so you can see out lol, love the mushrooms

Really enjoyed your blog and photos

So like your front garden, mine is on hold till next year now as it is too wet and the soil is too sticky, I will cover it in wood chippings though for the winter. :o)))))

Lots of interest in your front garden, NP. I would comment as Lily has...I think you'll soon have to give the climbing plant a haircut before long! lol

I like the mushrooms too :)

Lovely blog Nosey. Your garden could never be called boring with all those lovely plants and hidden sculpures. I bet all the passing children love to look at them! I know you want to let your plants do their own thing but I think you might need to intervene around the upstairs window, or are you planning to throw out the curtains? LOL

Yur front garden is so different Nosey. We walk down the street and the gardens are neglected or full of weeds or rubbish or wheelibins and its all very boring. Your frontage is packed with imaginative artworks and jokey structures.I wonder what the teeth are made of? Did you visit a dental technician and come away with a sack of tooth making powder?

Love it NP. So fascinating. I love the mushrooms especially.

not surprized you were freeezing lol were you in your dressing gown lol . still gud pics . and lovely sculptures ;0p

You are so talented - how long does it take you to make those sculptures? You are definitely inspiring but wow, it all looks like so much work! Great pitcher plants BTW, I've always wanted to try them.

NP....you're looking at my photo and assuming I'm "Grandmage"...lol It's me...."Whistonlass"...lol And yes, I'm looking forward to your teddy bear sculpture :)

Glad you spotted the mirror...no flashing in the garden, NP! lol

My favorite is that skull hanging from the tree; it's fabulous!

You've certainly got a lot of sculpture in that garden, NP....I just think you are so creative with it all :) I hope you will make a teddy bear one day (I'm sure you mentioned doing that recently)...or perhaps I'm imagining it! lol

Your little grouping of toadstools are really nice too. Hope you got your leaves sorted....oh and no wonder you were cold...out in the garden in your dressing gown! lol I can see me doing that once our garden is established too...but I'm not sure if it'll be a wintertime excursion until up and dressed. lol

I just finished re-reading a biog (S. Rohde) of Lowry and he wasn't seen as an accepted artist till his late fifties. His family didn't believe in him, especially his crabby old mum. No praise or encouragement. Relatives burned art work he gave them when he moved house to Mottram. Yet his pencil drawings I saw in an exhibition at Warrington , to me were a knockout. His 'naive' paintings capture the essence of northern towns when they were foggy, mucky, murky. He did his art training after work. Just kept at it. When he stopped the industrial scenes he did ugly, deformed people, and still they sold. Not a choccy box person. By the way i think it's v clever to catch the lines of a lived in face convincingly.

Hey Nosey, wrinkly too but also cuddly!! Thats my excuse anyway!! Lol xx

I like the first one the most Nosey. I think it might be because he fills the frame. I was going through some old art paper books and found some long forgotten imagined portraits done years ago, from inside my head, when I still had hormones. The only 2 in our group who do stuff right onto the paper are a professional who worked for W&N(watercolour) for years and sells well (though not as much as before) and Jean, who has always gone straight on to the paper/canvas out of her head. I'm sure you are like that in many of your projects. It is a true gift.

NOW I see where the head with the teeth came from Nosey. The dogs are lovely. Iv'e only ever seen one in the flesh. That was a puppy and everyone was full of admiration. I'm afraid 'us artists' are a bit like Subo......waiting to be discovered. Only our imediate circle think we have any talent. Having seen the daubs sold at the till in one emporium just down the road. Just throw a can of acrylic, in sheer frustration, at a cheap canvas and wait for it to dry, and see how it sells!!!!!!!!

You're welcome, NP...happy to be of service sir :) lol

Lol Nosey, think thats what I meant to say in the first place, nice and cuddly!!!

Wonderful drawing of Blondie, Nosey, just brilliant as usual. Looking at your shar-pei, I love all those cuddly folds of their skin, think I was one in a former life, LOL. !!
Great blog Nosey. x

I was only joking with you Nosey, it would cost me a fortune to send on my junk mail, we get a bin full each week, crazy !! Those poor trees :~( x

A liking for a picture is such an individual thing NP. I exhibited for years and sold occasionally. As soon a digital photography got established, our art group noticed a drop in sales at our exhibitions. How often do people say on antique shows it didn't go with our colour scheme and shove a good bit of artwork in the attic? I have a friend who had a local following for years. As they fall off their perches her sales have dropped. Best thing us lot have done is take part in the hospital pictures on the wall offer....no money given.

Nosey you mentioned that your snails were eating your junk mail, so I thought, as we get loads of junk mail, you might like some of mine too, for the snails to eat that is !!!! C'mon Nosey, wake up! x
