NP....you have again produced a very nice painting. It is good to have an interest that you can pick up when sleep evades you and bad weather keeps you out of the garden!

I'd say the folks with the tombstones will cause a few shivers amongst local children...a good display though.

Love the painting and the garden Np...I do have a thing about grave yards as they have old stone work, beautiful trees and are very peaceful :-))

she's lovely Np, are you using acrylics? I know you often use pastels but that looks different, sometimes I find that acrylic doesn't cover how I want it to or needs 2-3 coats
the tombstones are a novel garden ornament! and yes I could see them in your garden ;~))

Looks like one of the councilmen of my old Boy Scout Troop...expression and all! His sons were great fun, but he was a holy terror! Wonderful art as usual, Np.

No, Nosey, it refers to the shape, sorry - so sort of oval, but small.

I really hope you find a good home for your orangutan drawing...it's worthy of a place where it can be seen and enjoyed, NP.

Oh Nosey that's sad about the hospital! How about you try a hospice instead? People are funny aren't they?

Is he really only 27 years old? just shows you doesn't it what ciggies do to you! lol. brilliant picture. Glad I gave up a long time ago.

You have a real talent for so many creative skills...drawing/sketching is certainly one of them, NP. I agree with the others...it would make a very good image for a no-smoking campaign.

Woolly aphid. When the leaves fall, most of them will go too. There are sprays and treatments to use now, but I'd use a very weak solution of washing up liquid to wash them off. It is effective. They ought to be removed, because their long term presence can cause damage to the tree. There are aphis specific to fruit trees, beech trees, and others. If they're just on the leaves, that's a good thing, and a jetting off with the hose will probably be all that's needed. The do overwinter in bark cracks, but that's more usually on old apple trees, and other fruit trees where their workings can make the tree prone to canker. Phil

Brilliant Leigh , that really should be on posters outside hospitals and all public places ... there's so much character in the face and looking like death .......... xx

Fab as ever Leigh :o)

Brilliant Np,you have captured all the character in his face so well,..all life is there..and much prefer these true to life drawings, than all the flawless ones we see..,

brill drawing

awesome NP...you are sooo talented...

Might be scale infestation, specially if these are on the woody stems as well. Should be an ovoid object underneath all that fluff if it is.

great drawing np......

Think he looks like he has had a hard life, brilliant drawing Nosey.

gosh Np, I wouldn't like to meet him on a dark night!
and I see what you mean Linda, maybe this image should be on no smoking ads!

Looks really good noseypotter. I mean, he looks as if he hasn't got long for this world, but the drawing looks really good!!!

I love your red heads noseypotter makes me want to try and make a sculpture myself my dad does a similar kind of thing except he has a garden railway! What do you put inside them before you put the chicken wire around? You have inspired me i would love to have a go at making something like that. I think you should be on gardeners world or chelsea flower show with what you have made! you have an amazing talent and you should be proud of what you can do we can't all be good at art. I'm rubbish with drawing and painting but i'm good at making things. Maybe when i get some time i will make a sculpture for my garden. Not easy when you got 2 little ones! You are so lucky to be good at all art!
