Scamp had a bad heart. He was diagnosed last christmas. he was responding to his medication, but then we had trouble trying to control the fluid buildups. The vet had already told us, he could live another couple of years, or he could have a heart attack by the time we got him home, but we took the chance anyway. The problem recently had been that the fluid had been building up in him again, so he was having trouble breathing because of the fluid in his chest. Then he turned on the youngest Granddaughter. Luckily, he didn't actually hurt her, but you can't be too careful where children are concerned, following morning, he growled at me when I spoke to him. So we took him to the vet, and after a lot of talk and tears, we decided it was kinder to have him put to sleep, as the Vet said he wouldn't get any better, he would just gradually get worse. We couldn't let him suffer any longer. x

Your transformation of "rubbish" and cement into "Easter" seaters (ahem) left me speechless for a while and believe me that is a rare event.

Anyway, I think they are wonderful and I think Jerry looks wonderful, if a little confused by his own identity as a dog transformed fromn a long hair into a short hair.

As for you and the motorbike, you belong together!

Keep surprising us all.

Hi Np. Sorry you didn't get 1st in the art comp, but as you say, if the tutor won 1st it's a bit strange. Yes we do have another dog. A Welsh Springer called Mali. I did do a blog on her when we first had her. Scamp had so many health issues, that when we had the chance of a Puppy from a neighbour who was breeding them, we thought it would be a good idea, as we didn't know how much longer we'd be able to keep Scamp. He would have been 8 next month. We do have a boxer as well, called Gracie. She's about 12 now, and looking her age at the moment. Like you I've never been without dogs. I had four myself at one time. I keep saying 'no more' but they still keep coming Lol. Anyway, I think you should really have had a 1st for your art, and I hope something will turn up for you, and you'll be famous one day. Take care. x :o)

I love the seats!!
Nice ride =)

Brilliant blog again Np. Love the new seats, love the frowning expressions. Jerry looks wonderful. Had to have my Scamp put to sleep about 4 weeks ago, and Jerrys' pics reminded me of him. They looked so alike, especially the one of him laying down, under your drawing of him. The drawing of him is fab too. Don't know whether I've missed something on here, but how did you get on with the art competition? Haven't seen any comments. Unless like I said, I've missed it. :o))

Can't beat a red head, they are very good. Imagine how much they would cost at the garden centre.

At the beginning I thought what a messy tangle but boy oh boy didn`t you produce the goods at the end, brilliant form once again.

I like how the Indians in America think about only taking from nature what they need and using every part. No wastage and less damage to the eco system.

The expressions are great! Maybe just a little too close to the smelly feet, eh?! : D

You've made some very original seating for your garden....at the beginning of your blog/photos I was wondering how it was all going to come together. But all became clear....and they look wonderful. The artwork is darn good too!

I sometimes wonder if some people don't care at all what happens in the outside world of fauna and flora Nosey. Without it we wouldn't exist and it is all down to the fine balance of it all. It's all there for a purpose......

No Nosey I haven't but I know that they are there. They should be injecting the badgers against TB not getting rid of them. Who had the disease first the cows or the badgers.

I know the signs but will not reveal where they are.

I find badger hair scuffed out across the fields sometimes. It's coarse and grey and white.

On question - hello everyone

My research shows the following:-
Fluctuations in watering cause tomato splitting.Inconsisting watering sue to either inpropwer gardening can accelerate the fleshy part of the tomato's growth rate causing it to split the outer skin.
SIGNIFICANCE-large splits can leave the tomato susceptible to disease and insects.
SOLUTION -In order to prevent splitting , keep watering practices regular and consistent.Adjust watering according to signs of ripening, as overfeedingripening tomatoes may also lead to splitting.
Warning - While most cracked /split tomatoes are safe to eat as long as the affected portion is cut away it may of been on the vine for an extended period.

I hope this will be of some help Nosey

On question - hello everyone
