Wedding promise

Hello again, I am now just about recovered from the emotional and physical exhaustion of my sisters’ wedding. Let me start off by saying it was the most fabulous day and as (I’m sure you’ll agree) my Mum’s garden looked just amazing.
\

I was happy to spend some time with a friend of the family who agreed to do the flowers… she did the most amazing thing with a seemingly tiny amount of flowers and, of course ffoliage from the garden.
\

I actually spent quite some time up a ladder at the end of the garden getting old man’s beard out of a tree to decorate with! It is the most fantastic filler for flower arrangements and great for twining around arches etc.

I thought I had to include a picture of the wedding cake! Amazingly decorated by an artist friend of ours – Kate and Matt (the happy couple) are both countryside people and so she did this to reflect their loves!
\

The marquee went on the front lawn and looked fantastic next to the weeping willow even in the early stages..
\

And the rest of the garden was blooming with a late summer flourish. Please have a look at my photos to see more pics from the preparation stages!
\

And finally, a picture of the new Mr and Mrs Allen!

Lovely, Joey! So glad it all went well. Now you can relax (I hope). Th garden does look good. Bet you all worked hard on it. Love the flower arrangement, a real talent there.
