I have written blogs about the bed in previous months, though, Bamboo - in June when I started it, and in August when you can see the whole bed as it was then! It's amazing how much it's filled out, even since then!

Yes, Ydd - there's too much Persicaria - it'll have to be cut back and some plants taken out. It is a great plant, though!

Pipsqeak, are you a friend of crazygirlx by any chance?

On photo - pretty flower

Mine walks too, Rufus. I keep it strictly within bounds - any shoots that appear outside the 'circle' get dug up ASAP in the spring. I use a spade and chop through them, then dig them out.

I don't think that lifting the whole plant is an option - It's bad enough digging the stray bits out! :-((

LOL. What a great idea! Breeders - are you listening?

I have mine on their sides in their pots on the greenhouse bench, Sid, to dry out and let the leaves die back.

Then I'll repot them in fresh compost and water them!

I think frost would probably kill them, as they're not hardy.

I've done it! You will have to peer to see what's on the obelisk, though....

Thanks - I'm going to write a blog now as people have asked to see the whole bed. :-))

He is! Thanks. :-)

They were a good 'buy', Holantina. They've kept on flowering for ages!

Shall I make you jealous, Holantina? I went back and got some more this afternoon! :-D

Thanks, Bamboo - I wonder if you'll like the new one I got today?? I shall post a photo this evening. :-))

I bet you did, Bamboo! My typing is laborious.....

Hi Uncle Bob! Do you like your new name?? lol.

Good luck with the next blog, Frank. :-)

Well - nearly! LOL. Buddlejas are a real butterfly magnet, aren't they. Your orange flowered one is called Buddleja globosa.

Wonderful colour, Hijuju.

Useful places, aren't they!

Frank - As soon as I have written the title and the first line of a blog, I click on 'save as draft'...then return to it to carry on, including adding photos etc. This means that I know that the blog is safe and I won't lose what I've written!

If you want to make it a bit easier to include photos, add them to your page first - then when you want to 'include photos' you just click on the one you want from your page, and bob's your uncle! Magic! :-))

I think I'll have to leave more space round the flower!

Thanks, Pam. These are well-worth growing. Have you got any?

Thanks, Eileen.

I can never understand how the photos I take so carefully get chopped off at the edges when I post them.....do you find that, too?

Poor Rozanne....You're right, Dd! I found out what had been nibbling my pansies in the wall trough....snails again! Lurking behind the trough on the stone wall. Grrrrrrr.....
