E. robbiae is notorious for being invasive - you have been warned!!!

beautiful colour... not a very good viability rate aye? will they naturalize or must you chock it up to experience and buy more next year?

Oh dear! Sorry to read that you had so much trouble, Spritz! You know, what with all these storms, warnings, etc, I have not had a breath of wind in nearly 2 weeks now. Hence, have been outdoors sowing and potting up even at midnight?!! Yet, on the coast, just 10 miles away, entire village streets were under sea water! What a strange and diverse island we live on! Hope your area recovers quickly ( and all others affected, too).

How long have you been growing this? I find my shrubs tend to die on me after 5 or 6 years

I think this one should be sold with a health warning. I planted it in light soil in shade and it ran the whole length of the border in just three years. Now it's in a bottomless pot in heavy clay and has only just thought about making a move

Hazel - my plant is now nine years old. I would say there is just one thing to note for daphnes - they don't like extremes. If they become dry at the root, they die. If they become waterlogged, they die. Apart from that, they seem quite happy with me

This photo gives me the desire to buy primroses this year.

Lovely to see these out. Ours will be a few weeks yet I think.

I've been wanting to get one of these for ages but was worried as several people said they can be tricky, and wondered how you find it? Ive got rather a windy garden, on neutral soil...do you think I'd be wasting my time? thanks.

Iv this plant 2 but it seems to be taking ages to get established is this normal ???

I love Grape hyacinths such a fantastic blue Barbara dont u think????? :D

Mine won't be in bloom for 3 - 4 weeks yet, Spritz. Great to see yours, but sorry to read about your midstream crisis(?)

I love the carex grasses, I have a few in my garden that have grown well all through winter I think they are called evergold? I thought I would plant some of the black leaved carex, do you know their name?

Well then, maybe that's my problem ! I was told, and have read that they're a shade plant. I think I'll move them both to maybe all morning sun and see if that helps. I've also read that they can be a bit invasive. I wish I had that problem !!

1500's !!! What a gem you've got there. Fascinating about the stone too. What is Grade 2 listed? Does that have to do with the age of your house?
Nice Lab too !

I wish I had some of that rock ! Very nice.

This is beautiful Spritzhenry ! I've had 2 of them for 6 years or so and they barely have leaves. They've never bloomed. Is yours in the sun? Do you have any tips on getting them to bloom?

Great close-up pic. ! I can almost see the water running off the flower petals.

I'm growing this Stipa from seed this year. I want to try and get in 'en masse' mixed with Echinacea and Rudbeccia.

Pretty grass Spritz but I really like the Pulmonaria
