I sympathise. I'm in a similar situation over helxine. I like it most places, my wife doesn't. I reckon a 'weed' is an unwanted plant growing in the 'wrong location'. Life goes on.

BTW Is that a 'Glasnevin' on the wall?

So am I and it shouldn't be too much longer.

Lovely orange :-)

We have been thinking of you during this dreadful waether. Its been awful here in Bristol but thankfully nothing like the devastation and torrential rain that you experienced in Somerset. Lets hope we see some better weather soon and some sunshine to raise the spirits.
Love and best wishes,
Grenville and Alan.

I love this one.

GREAT photo Spritz.

Evening Primrose is considered a roadside wildflower in the SE US and they quite often turn from pink to white, not sure why but it happens.

Hello Spritzhenry, I was just after a little advice regarding Bluebells.

I haven't really looked into it yet but was wondering...is it possible to take a cutting from Bluebells and plant it straight into soil ? If not, which yields the best/easiest results....bulbs or seeds ?
And I must confess, I don't think I've seen either of those on sale as yet, although I haven't been to a major garden centre yet !
Hope I haven't dribbled on too much !
Clueless Kev.

Such Detail :O

I wish I could get them to seed everywhere, or just to grow atall. I have a small clump that has just about lasted two years in a tub and brought from my old garden. This is I think the fourth or fifth one I've bought, they always seem to die off. What's the secret ?
By the way , I was reading Irish's blog and I'm sorry to hear about your misfortune with the tree falling down. Hope it didn't do too much damage.

hi spritz, was just watching the flash floods on sky news in somerset,, it looks bad.. i feel bad now complaining about a day of rain that we had, was nothing like what you are going thru.

Hurrah! So glad you had a pleasant surprize there... it looked pretty grim for a while.

Enjoy your new plants Spritz. Very happy to see that your plants survived.

Hi Spritz saw the news re - floods in Somerset hope they didnt return after you wrote this.Stay dry sorry you seem to be getting what we had last year.

It never stopped raining here yesterday, but as hard as it rained all my pots & hanging baskets where bone dry this mourning.

Nice to see most still there, you must have got them well rooted in place.

This is very good to see Spritz. I was thinking that maybe Grenville had a lot of new plants :)
