The recipe stated 2 tea spoons of salt, appalled I only put half a tsp of salt in. A salt lover would have balked although the texture and flavour was great; I weaned myself off salt years ago. Do your heart a favor, less salt more cake.;-)

I do a lot of baking but haven't made bread for years. You have spurred me on to try again. Gave up when the last lot didn't rise and even the birds wouldn't eat it!

lol sounds like my kind of baking Gee, my 15yr old son is not too bad, he made a lovely apple pie yesterday

Since I posted this photo 7 Sept I have not bought a loaf of bread, I now bake bread every Sunday morning. I have managed to increase the size of the loaf by complex switch of ovens when left to 'raise' before baking. I find kneading the bread for 10 minutes very therapeutic.
