About me

I live in fairbanks, alaska. My gardening is the mainstay of my life, what I love, and I love getting to share that as well. We start fall august 15 and freeze by second week of sept, hard frost. Right along with the sun going down.....for winter....:-) And spring sun comes late with warmth, the snow melting away through April, last hard frost end of May. I may be a little morose around then, but I have the spring indoor garden. I grow mostly indoors due to such short summers and love to see what I can get out of new plants. I have no running water so I haul for the gardens, something I enjoy, getting me closer in touch with them. I love to propagate, I just can't throw plant parts away, and that sometimes limits my living space....lol. I'd like to mention that never have I found more garden loving comeraderie and joy in sharing that love than I have here at GOY. I thank everyone here with me for such a treasure of an experience.
