About me

I like to grow plants with beautiful flowers and I also enjoy photography. There are many old fruit trees on the property. The loquat and the avacado trees are enormous and I would guess about 40 years old, at least. Other trees on the property include, pear, grapefruit (2), lemon, orange, tangelo, pineapple guava, persimmon, pine, magnolia, chinese date tree. Most of my plants are in containers. My wistera is growing in a 1/2 whiskey barrel. Here are some of the plants that I grow: hibiscus, duranta repens, gaura, coreopsis, gardenia, tiger lilies, irises, dahlias, echinacea, borage, salvia, passiflora, clematis, roses, amaryllis, alstroemeria, cyclamen and several assorted succulents (say that 5 times fast ;~)
I also have a large collection of indoor plants. Orchids are amongst my favorites. I have a Queensland Heeler(dog), Rexi. She will be 9 in December.
