Tea break

Now and then I suffer with back trouble, So four years ago I raised both my GH borders on steel frames. I grow most of my salads on it.

21 Oct, 2009

21 Oct, 2009

21 Oct, 2009

Looks great Heron even if you have been rumbled!!

Grand idea for folk who don't like or can't bend.

21 Oct, 2009

Well Anblealice and Louise, I might have known you two would tease me on that. It just happened to be the only one I could find. Have I aged over the last two years, well I don't feel as if I have but ........wait for it.......I have lost two stone since it was taken, unlike others who haven't the willpower that us blokes have. (W) is for wink.

21 Oct, 2009

Must have been eating all those healthy salad crops! (ssshhh! stones and greenhouses don't go well together). Incidentally, have for long wondered how to depict a "wink" using a keyboard?

21 Oct, 2009

I have only one weakness these days, my back. I did serious damage years ago when attempting to lift too much. Every few years it gives me jip so the raised beds mean I can at least do something. It's great for salads, carrots. I've got some Dianthus in there at the mo, still picking them for the house.

15 Nov, 2009

did the same to mine years ago..flares up now and again. but im lucky its good most of the time. i been picking tomatoes in mine today....

For me this was like a blast from the past and how kind to have these photos on GoY still :-)
ive sat reading all the comments this morning and looking through your gardening photos thinking how wonderful life is for us all if only we (as you and Goy members have) spent the time to get our hands dirty!
Very positive of you to keep on even with a bad back!
All in your green house looks/looked very tasty a happy family no doubt!
