Please May I Have Somemore ? !

There has been a couple of mentions lately of flowers that are blooming for a 2nd time.
Spritz has mentioned it and i’m sure someone else has too and now me …..
....... or more accurately my Clematis ‘Lagoon’
She shouldn’t have a 2nd flowering season, she hasn’t before but 2 days ago she started to open some buds and this morning she’s here, gorgeousness for a second time in a year ….

Aswell, one of my Aquilegias started flowering again at the beginning of the week …. (picture unclear, taken in haste lest it diasappear infront of me !!!)

And now …....
Clematis ‘Princess Diana’ ......
She flowers from July onwards right ?
Wrong !
She started flowering here at the end of May and she flowered with blooms widely spread open.

Yesterday i noticed that she’s now flowering her pretty smaller self.
Like this ….. :))

These flowers remind me of a fuschia or tulip and it’s these blooms that i bought this Clematis for. I think they are gorgeous !
Something else that keeps right on going are these Dicentra ‘King of Hearts’, i cut them back after their spring flowering and they’ve just stayed put !!! :))
And ….. i said here recently to David that i wished my Phlox ‘Candy Stripe’ flowered for longer …...
Yup !
This week more flowers !!!
Not a whole lot but a few, i’m pleased about that :)

I don’t know what’s going on here but something is and i’m as pleased as punch about it !!!!!

Lovely Louise.....I must really try and get another Diana clematis....lost mine last year...it got smothered by another plant and didnt grow....

Lovely! That Phlox is very pretty, not seen it before - mine are all bog standard varieties. Did you deadhead the aquilegia?

Clematisa, yes i did deadhead it.
I deadhead everything in my gardens !!!
And that Phlox is wonderful, plentiful flowers and a really healthy plant, thoroughly recommend !

It's nice for things to flower a second time. Sometimes once isn't enough somehow. I've had Christmas cacti in flower now and an Easter one, and my Dicentras are still going strong :o)
I bought a 'Princess Diana' earlier this year but no flowers yet.

She will soon and you'll love her :))

Your pics are fab Louise...what beautiful clematis...I'm hoping my Montana will bloom again this year too. People laugh at me for deadheading everything but I find it very therapeutic & you get so many more flowers. My Dicentra hasn't stopped since the spring either!
