It looks to me like you've created a very pleasant spot in the space that you have.

Thank you for the speedy kind comments you have made. As time goes on you will start to see some of the problems I have due to over-enthusiasm. However, I have an early start tomorrow, so I will bid you all a good evening.

Oh, I like it! Do look at Grenville's page - his garden is small, too.

I really love your design Clarky it is quite stunning I think I know where your problem lies maybe in planting some over excited plants that might be a little too overbearing to the others you have there. Remove the bullies if you want and try them in pots instead and replant with something else that catches your eye.Hel.xxx.

Thanks Hel. Yes, I have soon realised how quickly the likes of lavender can grow, along with climbing roses and not very well looked after clematis. I have spent the last two weeks with the urge to pull things up and move them round - it is a matter of how much damage would I do and should I be patient and wait for them to finish flowering. I have a long wall that is almost always in the shade (except in the morning) which isn't shown in the picture, now that is something I need advice on. It is a brick wall and there is no soil, so everything will have to be potted, I also want climbers but feel restricted due to the shade aspect. Thanks Yvette

A great use of space. How about water feature in the centre?

Thanks for that Grenville, yes the idea had crossed my mind and I have talked my brother into buying me one for a belated birthday present.
