I'm really pleased with these Asters, its the first time I've grown them and didn't realize the flowers would be so large and lovely....:o)

Mmmmm...lovely...they can be ssooooo difficult...had some nice ones last year but didnt' get round to it this season.

Ah thats nice of you Janey , your other seeds were a picture , in fact I had never seen such tall larkspur a lovely blue cloud , I did put a pic. on the Mirabilis is in flower at the moment as is the Tithonea Torch it,s a beautiful yellow flower ...
By the way , my shrub that you liked the Cornus Kousa chinensis ...well I saw the tail end of a gardening programme they were showing one like it except that it was a lovely pinky red , it was gorgeous .called Cornus Florida Rubus . I wrote it down before I forgot the name :o)

Those Larkspur Amy....well they seem to go on forever...I'm having a change next year..lol! You did well with the Mirabilis and Tithonia Torch,.....mine were growing lovely but disappeared! Think it may have been the wet early on. Still have some Tith seeds for next year. Oh, I do love your shrub....ooh Florida Rubus...I wonder if it would be okay in my garden? I've written it down too now...thanks Amy!...:o)

They are Sandra.....I've just fished the seed packet out and they're Aster Duchess mixed, 2ft tall with Chrysanthemum type blooms....I didn't realize there were so many types, I thought they would be like mini Michaelmas Daisies...Lol

I really like Asters and these are lovely, mine haven't started flowering yet though :(
All the buds are there but they're still small, same too my Chrysanth :(
They sailed through this past winter just fine so i wonder why mine are later than yours ? :(

Beautiful colours, its great when something turns out nicer than you thought isnt it! I ve never grown Asters but seeing yours I m very tempted for next year!

Theyre really worth growing Pp and Scottie........really easy and the colours are purple, pink and cream, they grow to about2ft.....super as cut flowers....:o)
