I WON THE FIRST PRIZE TROPHY FOR BEST VEG IN SHOW!!!

I cant believe it! I am so pleased with myself and dead chuffed. The cheshire cat smile is going to be staying for a while :-)) was up early this morning digging, cutting and picking my entries for the local show, just minutes before leaving for the staging and setup.

The same guy has won for the past three years and I just pipped him at the post. The trophy was presented to me by the Mayor of Downham Market (will be in our local paper and on our village website which I will send when available, my camera was in my bag at the time of presenting, I was so excited I forgot to give it to Paul for taking a picture :-)

Hope you enjoy the photos. This is a big achievement for me as I class myself as a complete novice with only growing veg for past 3 years. Also a BIG motivator….... 2010, here I come :-))))

Well done you, I grew up in that area and well remember those shows and appreciate the tough competition you would have had as things grow well there. Oh those currant jellies and the lovely displays of all the produce and the ladies in hats! waiting outside till the judging was finished.
