My hubby is usually in bed due to his working hours, he gets up at midnight, leaves home 1am, mind you when he is at home he`s also usually on his computer, (unless football on tv ), He also goes fishing ,he has had his computer over 10 yrs so figured it was time I had one, Goy has kept me company and stopped me feeling lonely....

Many a man likes things that keep the missus quiet and vice versa

My hubby is usually on his computer prepping for his class the next day. (He is an instructor at the local Uni). Or, he's working on one of the cars or his motorbike or, barring those activities, he is watching the telly.

I'm happy to say I don't have another half. I am a whole person in my own right. :o)
Beryl ( when she stays here ) usually looks at the tv or reads, or she looks at GoY with me.

Sleeping - as I'm usually here at around 7.00 am (6.00 am British time).

I do not have another half, therefore, I please myself until I have to leave GOY, to garden, cook, help with homework, eat etc. Then back on again.

My hubby is usually in in his study doing similar on a site discussing sport talking to fans all over the world in places such as Australia, South America and South Africa.

My hubby has a vast model railway round the whole of our huge loft room so that keeps him busy. Other times he's at work but not for much longer, he has a whole study full of books, computer, bus 'stuff' and family tree 'stuff' so he has much to keep him occupied while I'm tap, tap, tapping away. Oh, he also watches a fair bit of TV!! I don't think he misses me.....:o)) He did comment only this morning that I'll wear this laptop out before the guarantee runs out!

Oooh - err, Fluff! Have you learned any new words, yet??

9 Oct, 2009

Ummmm this is getting very enlightening, husband also does cross words which take up a great deal of his time, when not watching telly sport (falling asleep) but he can cook, very good, cant iron, or work any sort of domestic appliance, except the remote!!! very good at gardening and telling me how it should be done!! lol

Mine is sitting next to me in the study on his computer doing his computery things while I'm tapping away here. Computers are his job and his hobby - the music is usually blaring out too as that's his other interest.

I'm also on another forum (different subject) and spend a fair bit of time on that too.

Keithsmum which other forum are you on, you can tell me to mind my own if you like, just interested.

I don't mind you asking at all Dottydaisy. My other interest is 12th scale miniatures and I'm on a dolls house forum.

17 Oct, 2009

Thanks that sounds very interesting.

It is, DD, it's completely taken over my life. Can't wait till offspring move out as I need a hobby room!

17 Oct, 2009

I'm like you, Clarice, I love living on my own and doing what I like when I like! Sometimes when I say that I think it sounds selfish but I hope I'm not!

17 Oct, 2009

My other half is sometimes in his garage at night doing what men do in garages(which I have no idea about) he has a garage/workshed. Or he is down the pub. Which leaves me in a lovely quiet green house ,or on GO Y or laying in a lovely hot bath full of bubbles with candels burning and a glass of wine. Its a hard life

Oh yes Spritz...enough for a blog one day!

18 Oct, 2009

My other half is often on her laptop - right now she's doing the weekly shopping online! No traipsing round the shelves & aisles of the supermarket for her - she spends enough time working there every day! Someone else does the shopping for her & brings it to our door! :-)

She also watches a lot of TV - especially detective series! As she was studying psychology, at the Spanish equivalent of Open University for a few years before we came back to the UK, she likes programmes that have some psychological bent like can be found on ITV 3. Jeremy ... (can't remember surname!) & one Judge Judy & another woman Trisha ... I think.

Having been recently diagnosed with diabetes ll she investigates her condition online & has joined a newsgroup where they exchange info via email.

Other times she does some ironing or sewing, she even offered to knit me some leg warmers a few weeks ago! Got as far as taking my "vital statistics" & casting on a few stitches but ...

She likes to see flowers but, unlike yours truly, has no interest in growing things. On the odd occasion she may persuade me to let her grow some seeds. She starts off alright but after a few weeks she forgets about them & I have to take over if I don't want them to die! She proud of "our" balcony but at least she gives me the credit! She also suggests from time to time plants she would like to see on the balcony &, if its possible, I humour her! Fairs fair, after all she doesn't nag at me for filling the house with plants - even though the kitchen window sill has 2 tiers of plant pots!
