Inspired by the Arthur Askey song …….

Oh, what a wonderful thing to be,

A healthy, grown up, busy busy bee …

Whiling away the passing hours,

Pinching all the pollen from the garden flowers …

…………………………………………………..

A clever bee buzzes way up high,

Here’s the pretty honeysuckle where I fly …

……………………………………………………

My pals are small but they’re not sillier,

They all land on the red achillea …

…………………………………………………..

I’m a bee that’s in the know.

Straight to the hebe is where I go …

……………………………………………………

Here’s a flower I never miss.

The sweet hydrangea “Love You Kiss” …

……………………………………………………

Another place the bright bee goes,

Is right to the heart of the Heartbeat rose …

…………………………………………………….

The thought of honeycombs makes me keener !

I won’t forget the sedum and the cute acaena …

……………………………………………………..

Thanks for sharing my buzzy flights,

Down in the rockery and up in the heights …

……………………………………………………

Back at the lavender I wave “high five”,

I’ll see you whenever I’m away from the hive …

Your garden as always looking lovely have you been covering everything with brolly`s ??? we`re getting quite a number of buzzy visitors around here this year, I`m ok with them as long as they don`t join me in the g`house, lots of ladybirds as well.
Lovely pics Terra but where`s the boys ?..

Hi Terratoonie, really enjoyed your blog. Garden is looking great, always looks so perfect and i just love honeysuckle has to be one of my favourites. xx

18 Jul, 2012

Hi Jessica ...
Thanks ... I agree with you about honeysuckle. I've only grown them the past couple of years, but am really pleased with them. xx

18 Jul, 2012

Only soggy bees here today tT! Lovely blog though. You reminded me...yesterday, when it was summer, I spent a few minutes under my biggest cotoneaster dead-heading roses....it was absolutely alive with all different kinds of bees, and then later in the afternoon I actually saw a butterfly!!

18 Jul, 2012

Hi Karen..
Thanks. Roses have been a pleasure this year.

Positively scorching summer up in Angus then ? ;o)
Would love to hear your singing version of my Bee song. x

18 Jul, 2012

And...what a wonderful blog that is!
Lovely to see colour - like Karen - all soggy here today!
The astrantias were covered yesterday not a sign of any bees today. Thank you for reminding me what my flowers should be looking like TT :))

18 Jul, 2012

Thanks Scottish ...
This summer, there has been an amazing amount of rain on my gardens... Usually at this time of year, my plants are struggling through lack of water ... I'm amazed how tall everything has grown in the wetter climate !

18 Jul, 2012

It truly is amazing this year...I think most of England are experiencing the lushness we usually have up here TT and we are experiencing a severe lack of sunshine to enable our flowers to bloom!

18 Jul, 2012

Fabulous blog as always and like everyone says your garden is so lovely all the time.

18 Jul, 2012

Hi Clarice ...
