You lucky mum, it must be grand to have a helper, he`s made a good job of it as well.
Its very cloudy here but at least its not raining, we have had some sunshine and even got some washing outside today, I have also been pottering around outside, making the most of it, lol...

Everything looks really good Sandra and your grass is so GREEN! Am green with envy.

I need my boy to come back so I can get some paving slabs lifted San!! Could you lend me Joe? lol! It all looks great ..amazing what a couple of hours and some sun can do for us and our gardens. I've been out all day ...no rain and even some bursts of sunshine. I'll suffer for it later (back, like yours) but hey-ho my spirits are much lifted! :D

ohh what a lovely blog - thank you for sharing. Your garden is very pretty. I love the last paragraph about "Children are like plants" - thats so lovely and SO true!

:D x

Ooh, it's looking lovely San.....and great to have your boy helping, I wish I could have mine popping in and helping now and again.....bit of a long wY from Sydney though....:(((

I,ll go and have a look Yorki,

Your garden looks lovely San, nice to have a willing helper...

still pouring down here,

well what a lovely garden, looks like you escaped all the rain San, glad to hear Joe has been off and giving you a hand, everything looks beautiful

I love Rolf Harris's artwork. I remember watching him paint with a large brush and pot of paint on to a large white sheet. His artwork was very Aboriginal to start with. He is very talented someone who will always be remembered, like Constable or Turner.

I haven't written any cat stories since the last Dusty one, but have written a few poems and done lots of paintings. Having a year off.

We walked around the mauseleum graveyard when we visited Edinburgh in May. A lots of them date back to the 1700's

Your garden is looking great San....it's just a shame we can't be outside to enjoy it isn't it....one thing though, we're not spending time watering this summer! We had a great sunny day yesterday and went over to the coast, back to rain today, and it's our show weekend here....:(((

Thtas enough to give someone a heart attack Linda!good idea for one of your stories though.

What an unusual selection of animals to choose from San....like the colour of the cottage....:)

Your garden looks colourful Sandra, despite the weather. Grey here this morning, and more rain to come. Think I'll grow webbed feet.....no I won't..... It would cost me too much in new shoes. LOL.
The little birds look bedragled when they come to feed. Some new babies with them too, so some have survived.
Nice to see your tubs full of plants. I have lobelia and geraniums, petunias and margaretes.

Lovely Sandra. I have two plants but the rain keeps on spoiling the flowers. I keep having to cut them off.

The Georgian properties in Edinburgh are special and I love your photo.

If you had a bit of woodland the gorillas would be a surprise for someone walking through.....Love the sheep.

Your'e right San. I can't help you there as we only had a day there when we were on holiday in Croatia. It was Yugoslavia at that time...it was Scott and my first every holiday together....26 years ago...happy days! We bought some glass....still have it on display!

Absolutely San....you're spot on there! Venice and Rome...now there's a trip! :D You'll love them both, but Venice was my favourite of the two. Everything is so beautiful there, even the people are totally glamorous! Worth wandering in to some of the hotel lobbies just to admire and gasp at the marble and decor!

I think he is a genius myself..but then I am sometimes a bit OTT and weird! ;) lol. We are also going to Paris to see Coldplay. Two nights in Paris and then one in London and then surprise Callum at Heathrow Airport and bring him home with us from USA trip. It will be brilliant!

Yes, you're probably right San, but Edinburgh is a cold place. I love the weather in London (usually) and all the parks and the museums etc. We're going down at the end of August. We just booked tickets for the V&A..they have a Thomas Heatherwick exhibition on....I am a bit of a 'groupie' of his! lol

If I had to live in a city.....Edinburgh would be a close second to London.
