About me

13th November 2023 and another new start!
I've moved into a bungalow a stone's throw from RSPB Marshside Nature Reserve, here I can indulge my other passion - Birds! I'm currently waking up to the sounds of Pink-footed Geese, Curlew and the whistling of Wigeon.
The back garden is bare and crying out for plants. I had a Leylandii hedge removed, which I will replace with a mixed native hedge, adding a couple of trees and some berrying shrubs to encourage wildlife. A small pond would be nice too.
The front garden is mainly paved and soul-less. Lots of work to do there too.
Gardening heroes, Geoff Hamilton and Christopher LLoyd. Cockney by birth but have lived on the North West coast since 1988. I'm into the cottage garden style, old roses, hardy geraniums, astrantias etc. and keen to encourage wildlife.
I'm looking forward to the year ahead.
