San considering the shocking weather, your garden is standing up to it really well, the pond looks brilliant, and I just love the Acer and the red dragon, and as you say we have been very lucky, we are safe and dry......regarding Rolf Harris, look out for a pic soon!!

Your garden looks so tidy San, it makes mine look like a tip! I wish I could go part time now. I love your pond and the cream bench (want one!) x

Glad you had a good time Sandra. I loved it too when Rolf visiited the palace and painted a picture of HRH. HE is so humble, I love him.

It all looks lovely - so neat and well cared for with pretty things all around.
I wrote a poem some years ago about our younger son. It was called ' What is this thing called a duster?'.......He would not have been quite as useful in your garden today!!! He's lovely though!

All looking lovely Sandra, love your pond area and your lovely Acer its so nice to be able to get out in the garden, I spent yesterday doing the same in mine, lots of staking needed and cutting back from the steps and paths, but worth the achey knees and back;0))

They're beautiful. You'll never miss a few flowers from the garden Sandra and indoors on a wet day, they can raise the spirits. :-)

Think boys are more likely to have what I call 'Nut and bolt' brains. The other side of their brain is developed, they are good at mechanical things. Horticulture is not an attractive subject to some of them. Mention Football and they soon switch on. When I asked my son if he would like to see my garden, he said " Why?"
It hurts.

Lovely blog - everything's looking so fresh - must be all the rain!!

nothing wrong with that...boys can be a tad selfish...they need a wee reminder sometimes!

Don't feel guilty San....if I shout loud enough - he does as he is asked! I use a bit of emotional blackmail......
I tell him that I'll remember his help next time he wants to tap me for some money :))))

Isn`t it lovely to have a helper especially an extra special one, the garden is now looking grand and I love the little white bench in the first picture.
Like you my son gave me a hand to experiment with a go at topary (only a ball shape) he`s just back from hospital had keyhole surgery so couldn`t do anything heavy but it was lovely just having him there.
