That's a disgrace that people can be so prejudiced. Could you maybe get one of your non-tattooed friends to go on your behalf ...and then when your drawing sells you could turn up in person to collect the cheque?!!!

Yes, I think pastels are defo your medium :-)

I'd be amazed if a serious art shop would not take your work NP.....their loss!!!

I think your painting was pretty darn good for a first attempt. I find watercolours quite hard as it goes. I think it's really bad that they didn't start you off from the beginning with the watercolours.

I think you'd enjoy working with oils as I find they're rather like pastels in the way you use them. I tend to work wet on wet with oils and do lots of blending of the wet colours in the canvess - the possibilities are endless and (unlike watercolours) if you make a mistake you can get a knife and just scrape the colour off adn start again! The down side of oils is that there are some nasty chemicals involved and the materials are a bit pricey. When I was learning I just painted onto cardboard primed with PVC instead of wasting canvasses. Paints are cheaper on line.

Judging by what I see in art shop windows round here, I recon you could get at least a couple of hundred for this NP.....have you ever approached an art shop to sell your work?

Brilliant NP

He looks fab NP - another masterpeice! Look forward to seeing the finished peice!! I'm still practicing with my pastels - I find backgrounds hard for some reason - think I might try it like you've done next time!!

He does look like one, but smaller, I've put a picture of him in my pictures.
I suppose 'Proper English' wise your spelling is, in fact, rubbish, but I really like the way it bounces merrily along in it's own nice funny careless way, and we can all tell what you are saying- so it doesn't matter what order the letters are in, that's what I think.

That's lovely that is, it looks a bit like my dog Jake, he's a lurcher deerhound thing. You've got the silkyness of the hair just right.
I like your spelling, it's imaginitive...

and you paint as well, excellant paintings. you don't write poetry as well do you only i'm worried i might be you. oils are good to work with but take an age to dry out. and also i agree working with water colours is a lot more difficult than acrylics. maybe i'll show some of mine when i get more used to all of this. and i also agree when people say they can't draw or paint i think it's just that they haven't yet found thier way into the field as it were :)

Good morning NP you are probably right about the roses. I have jsut received the most fantastic email about artwork done on blank walls to make them so much more interesting. I would love to send it to you but how would I do this without intruding on your privacy?

Thanks for putting me on your favfourites. Please tell an old woman what is 'lol'? All I can come up with is 'lots of love.' I think your green man wall plaque is fantastic. What a great idea re the eggs as well. They work better there than as slug deterrants.
