I like the picture.
It is interesting to see photos of members' cats, dogs, budgies, paintings, snow people, wellies, sculpture, etc.

With this one, I just keep being drawn to the eyes. :o)
Please take that as a compliment. Terra. x

Thats a pretty menacing portrait, but i admire the skill and artistry,

it's a pity that some people dont like the inclusion of our other interests, and hobbies, as i think it helps to give insight, and creates momentum to a site that otherwise would have to exclude the Brits during our dreary winters,

That is not looking half as menacing as it was Nosey......its brilliant....

I don,t believe I could face some of the emotions in my various different gardens again , I dread to think what my self portaits would be like thank you i,m staying right here .. for now ...

We (Europeans and their ancestors) have many things to be ashamed about in our treatment of the original peoples of this continent. My husband teaches Native Studies (in Canada) it is a required course for the Native students in all parts of the province. We have a large native population and they are taught about all the First Nations...their history, their customs and practices...their legends too...There are native teachers who are teaching the syllabics of first nations languages to their children so that they can not only speak their own language but write it too. At my husband's present school he teaches Iroquois and Six Nations....in the north..he taught the Cree. The First Nations groups here in Canada have supporters in Germany, and communicate with native groups in South America, New Zealand and Australia... there is growing pride in their ancestry. They also venerate the aged members of their society...their "elders".

Exactly, Cat ~
That's very observant of you. :o)
We can think back over different gardens where we've worked ~ the emotions and life-changes we were experiencing at those times. The pets which enjoyed each summer with us.....

Yes..TT...I think many of us could relate to NP's feelings and emotions. As we garden don't we feel and comfort ouselves through life...? It makes me wonder, what would our own self portraits look like over our lives in our gardens...?

Sounds like a good blog, doesn't it Cat.
Maybe, NP, put a comment on this thread, please, when you've made the blog, so that we don't miss it. Thanks. :o)

Of the process of your self portrait and your feelings as you developed it?
...An artistic gardeners mind on a blog? Perfect...

I would sat that is a Proud Look NP...

With this plan in your mind...I am sure this weather is frustrating.....surely you are anxious to start your work there...it sounds delightful. I will be watching all pictures from space later on.....

I think you have captured your mood quite well... a bit of moodiness in the eyes yet a knowing smirk in the mouth..saying how you really feel...Flames might take away from the real flames in your eyes there. Good job ...your putting your mood, thoughts and emotions in your work this way...you know ..you see potraits like this every so often...we are privileged here on GOY to get your feelings going along with it as you are doing this... Thanks...NP
