New Year Concert from Vienna were done by the
gardeners of Austria. There was no need for Huw
Edwards to mention ‘dusty boots.’ Not funny.
Did anyone spot Julie Andrews in the auditorium ?
I couldnt figure out what she would look like
40 years after ‘The Sound of Music’ was made.
It was wonderful anyway.

You might be able to get it on iplayer Driad. It was on BBC2. I have just checked it is on iplayer until just after 8pm on Wednesday 8th January. As well as the music there is specially filmed performances by the Vienna State Ballet choreographed by Ashley Page. The costumes are designed by Vivienne Westwood.

Happy New Year Diane. I hope your health improves in 2014. Back problems are hard to sort out. I did not hear the comments on dusty boots but I thoroughly enjoyed the concert with my favourite conductor in charge. The programme is a must see every year in our house. New year would not be the same without it. Did you have a good holiday in Scotland. We might be tempted to try it next year.
