Spring whiteness and Easter activities.

Well, I’m sure the last 3 sunny Spring days have bucked us all up. We’ve all been out in the garden enjoying the rays (particularly a small furry member of the family who has been warming her rear end in the cut grass atop the compost bin!).
We’ve planted a Morello cherry that we bought cheaply 2 years ago and it has been released from the confines of its pot into the wilds of the border. Also, a ‘Sutherland Gold’ elderberry to fill a space in the back border. My arm has improved enough to do a little pruning and clearing but not much more yet so the bulk of the heavy work fell on OH. I pruned the fuchsias and the winter honeysuckle, so lots for shredding.
I noticed how much pristine white there is about and it has really lifted the spirits. Spring does finally feel as if it has arrived.
Last of the hellebores:
Ipheion ‘Alberto Castillo’
Brunnera ‘Mr Morse’
White honesty
Clematis alpina albiflora
And new plum blossom:
I hope you’re all enjoying the Easter break thus far, either outside, doing hobbies or with family and friends.

Happy Easter weekend! It's been lovely, until today, rain all round.
Loving your white garden, Ange. I appreciate you have lots of other colours too, but nice to see your "white" collection.
I read once that having white blooms in the garden and no other colour is called a "moon garden". May have been untrue, but, it was on some website! ;-))
Must be true then!
Good to hear your on the mend! Look after yourself, no rushing around!

Glad your arm is getting better & Ty for showing us your lovely white flowers. Some people do have an only white part of their garden but obviously you need a big garden to do this. They are very cooling in hot summers.

Thank you, both. I think lemon, chatreuse and white are my favourite shades in a garden, touched with blue. I don't think I would ever have a mainly pink garden (altho' I seem to have ended up with lots of purple shades!)

Kind of you, Hywel. More sleep at night would be a tonic!

Agree with that Ange … would love to know how to sleep without a busy mind!

Those Ipheion are beautiful - you don't seem to see them very often and its a pity! Glad to hear your arm is on the mend - take it steady!

Thanks, Stera. I split these ipheions last year and half expected them to disappear but they have rewarded me instead. I have some blue ones somewhere but I think they come out a little later.
