Growing swell!

Hi all not been on here of late due to my obession with our allotments believe it or not we must put in at least 4 hours a day and love every minute of it.

We are just doing a tidy of our first plot (as we rushed it last year) and are now getting that in order. Bob’s made me some raised beds fro ex-council garage doors as most of you older members may remember I do love to re-cycle things and of course Bob loves the idea too as it saves him money! ;0)

The Paddocks (our larger second plot) is now nearly full and it hard to believe that it hadn’t been worked for 15 + years. I do hope the two over grown plots near ours get taken on soon otherwise Bob will take them on too! Hel.xxx.

I agree. Wish I was younger so that I could do the same. Think of what you're saving by growing your own, and recycling. Keep it up!

Thx guys. ;0)
Irish the beds should last for years as they are aluminum and lucky for us they were kind of tongue and groove effect so slotted out really easy, the guys that were putting the new doors on were only too happy for us to take them away...strange as they didn't weigh them in down at the scrap yard.

Bumblebee even though Bob and I are young-ish we both have our health problems but we do manage in fact our site is so friendly if someone can't manage on their own we all roll up our sleeves and get stuck in!

Maccrimmon we are running out of room Bob had words yesterday about another vacant plot and was told there shouldn't be a problem about it.No one will take on the plots because like our first plot they haven't been worked for 35 years! Hel.xxx.
