Thanks for your comments Paul, Terratoonie, Shirley and Lincslass. I'm just pleased I completed the blog at last. I was busy editing it (it was almost complete) and accidentally deleted it!!! I'd been on over an hour with it, then had to start again. Never mind, got there in the end:o)

Well I did of course Pix! lol. Seriously, it was some bloke on the beach. He had a bucket out and people were putting lots of money in - looked like he made a fortune. He even had a little barbeque lit which was also made of sand! Wonder what it all looked like when the tide came in lol

its very cool! When I was at college we made a mermaid and a huge dolphin on the beach using sand shells seaweed etc..anyhting we could find.
We took pics as the tide came in and the dolphin looked like it was swiming ashore..so real that local councillors came down with photographers as someone had said there was a dolphin on the beach lol..Stv were on the way too! haha it was hilarious..we thought..but they didnt! oh well..was a fun day :)

Lovely blog and great pictures..

did you go into the church?

If you did you would have seen the image above the high alter..San Bernabe, the patron saint of Marbella..St Bernard..

I have been to the festival dedicated to St Bernard generally called Marbella féria..i think the St day is June 11th although i could be wrong about that..its quite a week of celebration..

Great blog and thanks for sharing

Skip, thanks for you comments - no we didn't go in the church as it was locked. According to my son, there are lots of festivals and carnivals throughout the summer months.

Thanks also to Meadowland,
