A few pics around my garden

First flower open on clematis ‘President’, four more to open. This was only bought last year when it only managed one flower on it so I’m quite pleased with it.

First flowers open on weigela ‘Bristol ruby’

Sorry the following two are a bit blurred. These aquilega are growing in my front north-facing garden yet they are bigger than the ones in my back south-facing garden???

Peony

Irises and poppies – must starting pulling out some poppies as they’re drowning other plants!!

Thanks for viewing

Sheila

Very nice - just one thing, the alliums, have you noticed that they're all much redder this year than they should be? They're usually quite lilac in colour, but this year, everywhere, they're reddish lilac, including mine. Must be the weather conditions...

I love Clematis 'The President', Sheilar, really big and blousy type! Last year mine decided to 'wilt' and I thought I'd lost him forever, but pleased to say he's back in Office again! ... Very envious of all those Welsh Poppies, I just have a couple ...

Love the big blooms of the Peonies ,mine are all in bud ready to flower any day, have had to stake them already as they are so top heavy. Your clematis is a beautiful colour

Thank you all for your lovely comments. If anyone would like any seeds from the yellow welsh poppies, just let me know and you can have hundreds!!!

Lovely Sheila....my President has disappeared too, just like Those Iris are gorgeous Sheilar. Peonies are gorgeous. I think that Aquilegias prefer a bit shade. (Dont quote me on that though :))
Bamboo...I noticed that the alliums are a bit darker and mines are not forming a proper spherical shape like they usually do. They have been stuck at 'almost' spherical for ages! I was up visiting Scotsgran last night and she expressed the same concern!

I like the President too, and the peonies are lovely.
Don't worry Shirley, you will soon be overrun with yellow poppies !!!

Thanks again for your lovely comments. I'm very pleased with my garden generally. I've not done too bad for a non-gardener eh?? but I'm still learning.
By the way Nariz, I haven't been on holiday yet - I think you've got the wrong Sheila!! lol

Just planted The president clematis in my garden. Morrison's had climbers at £1.79 so I sneaked in 8 new plants without OH noticing ;-D
