Planted my swede out and in very little time the the leaves and some of the stalks had been devoured. I have had slug pellets down when planted. I dont know what it can be.

Could be birds. Wood Pigeons go for greens. Have you got a lot around? You may have to net your green crops.

Aha! the mystery maybe solved as we do have a few rather heavy pigeons that roost and poo on my sons play equipment. Right will try the net, many thanks
