Angels Fishing Rod

My plant is about 5 years old I don't cut it back in winter should I also it doesn't look if its going to flower this year should I split it now or wait till autumn.

Sorry dont know the answer to your question, but you may be able to answer mine. I have tried unsuccessfully to get this plant to grow, it always dies off on me within a short time of planting. What position is yours planted in, and does it require a lot of water?

These are notoriously slow to settle down. Mine took about five years from planting before it flowered. If you dig it up, you'll start the clock all over again. Hard to bear but just be patient
