It's a magical garden, and we are so lucky to have visited it and enjoyed all the individual areas that make it so special.

It looks really peaceful - I love the gently undulating lawn.

It's nice to see wider views of your garden. It's beautiful.

That Ash looks as if it is quite an age?

Yes, our tree surgeon reckons it is about 150 years old. The people we bought the house from must have planted the other one at the other end of this lawn - it appears to be about 25 years old. We have planted a non-weeping Ash between the old one and the gate because we know it won't last too much longer, sadly. :-(

Just out of interest Barbara, the botanical name for Ash is Fraxinus - meaning to snap or break easily. Wouldn't stand under it in a high wind if I were you.......!!

Unfortunately, we know to our cost that branches fall off in or after gales - but they keep us in firewood. We don't know how long the tree will last. I hope a lot longer!

Oh, well that's quite handy then, if your tree just drops a bit of fire wood at a time - very convenient!
What else?
